“Continuing the Legacy, Fulfilling the Vision”

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 301 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

The Trinity (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has been a forceful presence in delivering transformational programming in the Dallas community since its inception. With a focus on the next generation, Trinity (TX) Chapter distributed nearly $250,000 in college scholarships, helping graduates achieve careers in business, medicine, engineering, law and other notable professions. For more than 20 years, the national and regional award-winning So SMAART program provided STEAM experiences to more than 1400 girls of color attending Dallas ISD schools, exposing them to careers and building the confidence that helps dreams become reality.  In 2022, the Chapter launched a new youth program to provide high school students with the tools and resources needed for college and career readiness in our post-pandemic digital-first world.

Trinity (TX) Chapter also received national and regional recognition for its commitment to chronic illness education and prevention for minorities. With many long-established partnerships, the Chapter implements community outreach programs that support critical topics such as voter education, financial literacy, human trafficking awareness, the Arts, international issues such as access to clean water, and more. Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American female astronaut stated: “Never be limited by other people’s imaginations.” In our ever-changing world, Trinity will continue its tradition to never be limited in our imagination to service the Dallas community.  We will continue to foster friendships and partnerships to address the needs of our community.
